When Samuel interviewed the Paz family for this book, one of her aunts told him that she wanted him to write Brenda's story because she thought that if any young person read this book, they would think twice about joining a street gang.

He completely agreed.

This book is dedicated to youth gang prevention. Once this book is released on July 7, 2009, Samuel hopes to spend a significant amount of time presenting this book to youth gang prevention groups around the country.

Brenda Paz's story is a tradegy. She was a young woman who had all the love anyone needs, but she found herself in a place where she was not at home, and did not feel accepted. That was all it took for her to fall prey to the Mara Salvatrucha...
